I am Christopher C. Evans and I’ve created this website to share what I’ve been up to, from my scientific work to my journey in music as well as other interests.

In my scientific career, I am a principal research scientist at Physical Sciences, Inc. in Andover Massachusetts where I lead a number of programs developing integrated photonic devices (like the optical microchip seen above) for a host of new applications: from sensors and spectroscopy to quantum information. In my doctoral and postdoctoral work, I explored a new material, TiO2, for integrated photonics where I demonstrated the material’s utility for on-chip nonlinear optics and for evanescent Raman sensing. I intend for this website to present my work, document new projects on the horizon, as well as to invite collaboration with academic and industry partners (feel free to contact me).
