My name is Christopher C. Evans and I'm a principal scientist at Physical Sciences, Inc., and was previously a Kavli postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University working with Professor Jin Suntivich. I completed my PhD in 2013 from Harvard University while working in Professor Eric Mazur's lab where we developed the first nonlinear integrated optical devices in titanium dioxide. In addition, I've earned a bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell in 2007 and a degree in Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College of Music in 2002. During my postdoctoral fellowship, I worked to harness the chemical properties of titanium dioxide nanophotonics to realize a new class of optical sensors. At PSI, I am exploring other applications using integrated optics and developing systems for quantum optics.
